Terms of Use

1. The app

Classily keeps a student's timetable, lesson notes, photos, worksheets, recordings and homework in one place. The timetable, notes, photos, markup, homework and backup are free. Classily Premium unlocks searching inside photos, the AI study assistant, lesson recording and turning recordings into text.

2. Subscriptions

• Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. The yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm. In Hong Kong they are HK$38 per month or HK$298 per year.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and renewal is charged within 24 hours before each period ends.
• Manage or cancel at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling during the free trial avoids any charge.
• Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them directly.

On Android. Subscriptions are bought through Google Play. In Hong Kong they are HK$38 per month or HK$298 per year, and prices elsewhere are shown in your local currency before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Manage or cancel at any time in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled under Google Play's terms. The Android app has no cloud sync and does not turn recordings into text, and the notes above about iCloud and the free trial on the yearly plan do not apply to it; Android offers a 3-day trial of Premium inside the app, with no payment details needed.

3. Your work

Your notes are yours. They are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. You are responsible for keeping backups. Use the export option in Settings if you want a copy you control.

4. The AI assistant

• Answers are generated by a language model and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything that matters against your teacher, your textbook or your syllabus.
• The assistant is meant to help you understand your own work. Submitting AI-written work as your own may breach your school's rules — that is between you and your school.
• It is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
• Using the AI features sends your question, and the notes or photo you attach, off your device for processing. See the Privacy Policy.

5. Recording lessons

You are responsible for making sure you are allowed to record. Many schools require a teacher's permission, and some places require the consent of everyone recorded. Check before you record. Recordings stay on your device and are deleted automatically after 30 days.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Classily to break the law, to infringe copyright in material you photograph or upload, or to harass anyone. Do not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

7. Availability

Features that depend on an external service — the AI assistant in particular — may be interrupted, changed or withdrawn. We aim to keep them running but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. No warranty

The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for lost data, missed deadlines, exam results, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version is always on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
